Welcome to Our Newly Remodeled Website!

This website has been developed to help you understand the Word of God, the Holy Bible. We believe that the Word of God holds the keys to a peaceful, fruitful, joyful life. Jesus said that the "truth shall make you free." As you walk with Jesus and learn what the Word of God teaches you will find a new found freedom in your life.

Some of the teachings on this website may be unlike any you have ever heard. Let me encourage you to keep an open mind and also to search out what is being taught here to see if it lines up with the Bible or not. If you have problems with any of the lessons and don't agree. Send me scriptures and we can discuss your differences. Many of the lessons contained in this website will step on the toes of traditional Christianity. Jesus said that the "tradition of man makes the commandment of God of no effect." It is time to get rid of tradition and believe what the Word of God really says!

Pay close attention to yourself and to your teaching; persevere in these things, for as you do this you will ensure salvation both for yourself and for those who hear you. 1 Timothy 4:16

America's Future
January 2012

2 Chronicles 7:14
If My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.

America, a land that was established to be a place where people could worship God freely. We have been a beacon of life, light and hope to rest of the world. When our country was founded, our leaders dedicated this great land to God. We were founded as “One nation under God!”

Just like Israel in Old Testament times, America has forgotten God and walked away from His grace. It is only God that caused this country to be so great. We don’t have any more natural resources than other nations on the earth. We are not smarter than people of other nations and races. It is only because our forefathers served God that this country has been so blessed.

America’s downfall began in the 60’s with drug use, free sex, court rulings stopping prayer in our public schools. Other things like Roe vs. Wade have shown the hearts of the people in this country and how we are falling further and further away from God.

While our country’s leaders fall further away from God and as immorality is allowed and almost expected, God is moving even more!

Romans 5:20
God's law was given so that all people could see how sinful they were. But as people sinned more and more, God's wonderful grace became more abundant.

It is time for God’s people to pray. Do you remember the story of Abraham when God told him He was going to destroy Sodom and Gomorrah? In Genesis 18, God comes to Abraham and tells him what He is going to do. Abraham asks God if He is going to destroy the righteous with the wicked and then asks God if there are fifty righteous people, if God will change His mind and not destroy the cities. Abraham was God’s friend and God said that He would not destroy the cities if there were fifty righteous folks there. Abraham continued until he finally asked God if He would spare the cities if there were only five righteous people and God agreed that He would not destroy them if there were only five righteous people. I truly believe that Abraham thought there were at least five righteous people in Sodom and Gomorrah but there weren’t. There were only four. We know from what is written that God sent angels to deliver Lot, his wife and his two daughters, the righteous people out of the cities. Then He utterly destroyed them.

I believe that if it weren’t for the righteous people in this country, God would have already destroyed the United States of America. How can God allow a nation to continue that allows people to murder unborn babies? How can God bless a nation that winks at sin like we do?

It is time for us, the believers in Christ, to get serious about praying for our country. Look at the warning given to the Jews in Zephaniah:

Zephaniah 2:1-3
1 Gather yourselves together, yes, gather together,

      O undesirable[a] nation,

2 Before the decree is issued,

Or the day passes like chaff,

Before the LORD’s fierce anger comes upon you,

Before the day of the LORD’s anger comes upon you!

3 Seek the LORD, all you meek of the earth,

      Who have upheld His justice.

      Seek righteousness, seek humility.

It may be that you will be hidden

In the day of the LORD’s anger.

The events of 9/11 were a wake-up call to our nation. At first, it seemed as if our nation was drawing back to God. Everywhere I turned, I heard people saying, “God bless America!” America stepped outside the hedge of protection that God had placed around her. Because of that our enemy was able to come in and make a devastating attack. If we do not return to God, expect more attacks, expect more financial disasters. How can God protect us and bless us when we don’t want Him in our lives?

We need to do as the Lord said in Zephaniah. We need to gather ourselves together and seek the Lord. We need to seek righteousness and humility.

What are righteousness and humility? Righteousness is not walking around acting like you are “holier than thou”. It comes when we seek God with all our heart regardless of how we feel. To be honest, we are not always going to feel spiritual. Does that mean that God is not there? No, we don’t have to have any kind of feeling to know that God is with us. He said He would always be with us when we believe in Him and trust in Him! That is great news! If we are seeking Him with our entire being, we are righteous. Not because of what we are doing but because of His grace and His mercy. We need to learn to make decisions to follow what He would have us do instead of doing everything our flesh wants us to do. That, is being righteous.

What is humility? Is it letting people run over you? Is it being wimpy? Being humble means not having a false sense of pride. It basically means, not trying to be someone that you aren’t. Don’t put up a false front or façade. I’ve seen Christians do that. They try to act like they are super spiritual instead of just being who they are. God wants you to be YOU! God needs you! Only YOU can reach the people He has called YOU to reach. I can’t reach them and you can’t reach the people that God has called me to reach. So be who you are and let God do a work in you. Join me in praying for this country and asking God to forgive us for our sins and to bless us and protect us from the destruction the enemy would love to throw at this country. There is hope for America if we will humble ourselves and draw back to Him!
