Welcome to Our Newly Remodeled Website!

This website has been developed to help you understand the Word of God, the Holy Bible. We believe that the Word of God holds the keys to a peaceful, fruitful, joyful life. Jesus said that the "truth shall make you free." As you walk with Jesus and learn what the Word of God teaches you will find a new found freedom in your life.

Some of the teachings on this website may be unlike any you have ever heard. Let me encourage you to keep an open mind and also to search out what is being taught here to see if it lines up with the Bible or not. If you have problems with any of the lessons and don't agree. Send me scriptures and we can discuss your differences. Many of the lessons contained in this website will step on the toes of traditional Christianity. Jesus said that the "tradition of man makes the commandment of God of no effect." It is time to get rid of tradition and believe what the Word of God really says!

Pay close attention to yourself and to your teaching; persevere in these things, for as you do this you will ensure salvation both for yourself and for those who hear you. 1 Timothy 4:16

Jesus, Our Example

Adam sinned and brought sin into the world. He literally gave the dominion (the power to rule over the earth) God had given him, to Satan. Because of all of this, the just penalty and sentence for every person is to be eternally separated from God.

Because of His love for us God devised a plan, Jesus stripped Himself of His "deity" (being God) and was born into a physical, tangible body (His "humanity") being completely human without a trace of being God.

Philippians 2:5-11 ESV
5 Have this mind among yourselves, which is yours in Christ Jesus, 6 who, though he was in the form of God, did not count equality with God a thing to be grasped, 7 but emptied himself, by taking the form of a servant, being born in the likeness of men. 8 And being found in human form, he humbled himself by becoming obedient to the point of death, even death on a cross. 9 Therefore God has highly exalted him and bestowed on him the name that is above every name, 10 so that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, 11 and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

Recently, I was sharing this truth with a man at a breakfast for Christian men. Another man overheard what I was saying and he told me I was wrong. His point was that Jesus, when he was being crucified, could have called down an innumerable amount of Angels who would have completely destroyed all of mankind (Mt 26:53). While that is true, it still does not mean that Jesus used any of His Godly powers while in the form of a man.

Jesus stripping Himself of his deity is a fundamental doctrine of Christ. We must realize that there are two parts of Jesus, His deity and His humanity. Jesus healed the sick, raised the dead, cast out demons and taught with amazing wisdom just as we can!  Jesus never did anything other than what we can do, with the help of the Holy Spirit.

Romans 5:12 (KJV)
12  Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:

To redeem all of mankind from our sins, God had to beat Satan on his own turf by his own rules, living solely as a man. Because the sins of the fathers are passed along to their children, Jesus had to born of a virgin so he could be completely sinless. Then He had to be able to get through life without even one small sin! And He resisted temptation as a man, not as God. You can do all of those things too if you only believe!

John 14:12 (NLT)
12 “I tell you the truth, anyone who believes in me will do the same works I have done, and even greater works, because I am going to be with the Father.

Jesus was tempted just like we are but He did not give in to the temptations. This shows us a truth that should be comforting to believers. We ALL get tempted but that doesn't mean we have sinned! You may have a thought come to mind that you KNOW would not be pleasing to God if you acted on it. What you do with that thought determines whether it is a sin in your life or not. The old saying applies here, "You can't stop the birds from flying over your head but you can sure keep them from building a nest in your hair!"

When you have strong temptation come against you, God understands. He will help you stand strong against acting out on things that are not pleasing to God. By studying the Bible,

Hebrews 4:15
This High Priest of ours understands our weaknesses, for he faced all of the same testings we do, yet he did not sin.

Jesus came to show us the Father. If we see Jesus (the Word) then we see God the Father. Jesus said He and the Father are the same (Jn 10:30; 17:21). Everything Jesus did in His ministry, we can also do. The key to being able to do "greater" things than Christ, is to get to know Him intimately! How do we do that? By studying the Bible!

Jesus said He is the Word and He has always existed (Jn 1:1-2). The Bible is the only book in the world that is ALIVE! If you are struggling in life, no matter what the sin you are being tempted with, you CAN find FREEDOM when you come to know Jesus as your Lord and as you follow His Word.

A lot of us want to change overnight and not be burdened with the temptation of sin but that rarely happens. We KNOW that when we accept Christ and let Him rule in our lives, we become "new creatures" (1 Cor 5:12). God changes us little by little. If you have been a Christian for a few years, you should be able to see that your life has changed. The fruit of the spirit should be evident (Gal 5). If it is not, you need to do a "self inventory." Ask yourself the following four questions:

1.) Am I studying the Word of God daily?

2.) Are all of my actions pleasing to God?

3.) Am I doing things that God would have me NOT DO?

4.) Is there something that God wants me to do that I am NOT DOING?

Then, walk in the spirit and you will find that you can overcome sin with the help of the Holy Spirit. There is FREEDOM in Jesus Christ!

John 8:36 NLT
So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed.

2 Cor. 3:16-18
16 But whenever someone turns to the Lord, the veil is taken away. 17 For the Lord is the Spirit, and wherever the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom. 18 So all of us who have had that veil removed can see and reflect the glory of the Lord. And the Lord—who is the Spirit—makes us more and more like him as we are changed into his glorious image.
