Welcome to Our Newly Remodeled Website!

This website has been developed to help you understand the Word of God, the Holy Bible. We believe that the Word of God holds the keys to a peaceful, fruitful, joyful life. Jesus said that the "truth shall make you free." As you walk with Jesus and learn what the Word of God teaches you will find a new found freedom in your life.

Some of the teachings on this website may be unlike any you have ever heard. Let me encourage you to keep an open mind and also to search out what is being taught here to see if it lines up with the Bible or not. If you have problems with any of the lessons and don't agree. Send me scriptures and we can discuss your differences. Many of the lessons contained in this website will step on the toes of traditional Christianity. Jesus said that the "tradition of man makes the commandment of God of no effect." It is time to get rid of tradition and believe what the Word of God really says!

Pay close attention to yourself and to your teaching; persevere in these things, for as you do this you will ensure salvation both for yourself and for those who hear you. 1 Timothy 4:16

True Joy, True Peace

Recently I saw a video of a contraption that is part car, part airplane. The Terrafugia is an airplane that can be driven on the road. The “roadable” airplane has been the dream of many an aircraft engineer since the beginning of flight. Even Henry Ford developed a roadable airplane. The video I saw looked like it had been captured with a hand held cell phone. The video was very jittery and if you have any inclination to motion sickness, you probably shouldn’t watch it. One moment, the airplane might be in the top, right corner of the frame and the next instance, it might be in the bottom, left corner.

With the aid of modern computers, the video was doctored with “deshaking” or video stabilization software. This kept the airplane in the center of the frame while everything else around it jumped around.

The world in which we live is a lot like that video. Nothing is certain and everything jumps around and changes. What is at the center of our lives changes all the time.  Jobs will come and go, your health may be good one day and completely destroyed the next, you may have a bank full of money and wake up one day to find that our paper money has no value. Our children are grown and gone before we know it and other loved ones slip into eternity before any of us are prepared. We can buy the latest, greatest computer and six months later it is obsolete.

But there is one thing that remains the same and never changes. His name is Yahweh, The Great I Am, God. When we make the conscious choice to live our life for Him and put him at the center of our being, all the other things in life can jump around, come and go, switch from the top to the bottom but we can keep our joy and peace because He is our center!

Malachi 3:6 Amplified Bible (AMP)

6For I am the Lord, I do not change

In an interview on the popular news show 60 Minutes, New England Patriots quarterback, Tom Brady was reflecting over his successful career in the National Football League. Brady has led his team to three wins at the Superbowl but even then, he feels that, “there must be something more”.

As long as you are putting your trust in anything but Jesus, you will be disappointed. A friend of mine used to say that every person is born with a vacuum in their life that only Jesus Christ can fill. People will try to fill that vacuum with fame, with riches, with drugs, with alcohol, with sex and myriad other things but will never find true joy and peace until they find Christ. He will never let you down. Even when you mess up, He is right there waiting to take your hand and lift you up. What a great, mighty, wonderful and loving God we serve!

If you are missing true joy and true peace in your life let me encourage you to take an introspective look into your life. What are you looking to, to bring you true joy or true peace? Are you depending on a loved one? They can disappoint you and probably will. Are you trusting the amount of money you have in your bank account? Money is fleeting. It can be here today and gone tomorrow or worse yet, it can be absolutely worthless at a future point in time. Are you trusting in your job and the regular paycheck it supplies? You could be laid off today and lose that regular paycheck.

Matthew 6:33 New Century Version (NCV)

33 Seek first God's kingdom and what God wants. Then all your other needs will be met as well.

As you put Christ at the center of your life, He will provide all the things you need and your joy and peace won’t be dictated by “things” that might be here today and gone tomorrow.

Romans 10:13 King James Version (KJV)

13For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.
If you don’t know Christ, just ask Him to come into your life. It is that simple. He will hear your cries and will answer.

Put Jesus first and quit trusting in things that are fleeting and temporal. With Him at the center of your life, you can live each day with a genuine smile on your face and find true joy and true peace.
