I've been fortunate enough to be able to go back and photograph in a lot of the places that Ansel Adams photographed. This is one of those places. I've found that many of the places he photographed were right off the road. This photograph is taken from a pullout on the main road through the Grand Teton National Park. His "Moonrise Over Hernandez" was taken just off the road also. He was shooting with 8x10 inch view cameras so it makes a lot of sense. A 4x5 is heavy enough. I sure would not want to have to backpack an 8x10 into some of the places I've gone!
