Cathedral of the Madeline - Salt Lake City, Utah circa 1995
Cathedral of the Madeleine - Salt Lake City, Utah circa 1995

Toyo 4x5 View Camera     Lens: Rodenstock 150mm     Film: Kodak TMax 100

When most people think of Salt Lake City, they think of the Mormon Temple. After living in the city for a few years I heard about the Cathedral of the Madeline. It is probably about a mile or two from the Mormon Temple. When I walked in with my huge view camera in tow, I was amazed at the beauty of the cathedral but it was very dark inside. It was so dark, in fact, that it was going to be very hard for me to get some good photographs, even with the camera sitting on a tripod. Some man that worked there saw me and asked if I would like for him to turn the lights up. He was a "God send" (pun intended) and I was able to get this gorgeous photograph! If you go to Salt Lake City, don't miss seeing this beautiful cathedral!
