Forty days and forty nights
The rain kept pouring down
The animals rode quietly
And no one made a sound
The Ark rocked violently
The winds and the waves they roared
But I never doubted God’s true Word
For He’s my only Lord!
Lord God Almighty
Ruler of the wind and waves
Your Word will never change
It will always be the same.
Every time the storms come
An ark You’ll prepare for me
I will trust in Your true Word
And live on peacefully.
You see, one day the floods will recede
The winds and the waves will be calm
But Father You’ll always be there
Getting me through that storm.
We finally discovered dry land
After a year or so
I took some stones, built an alter
And bowed myself low
Lord you are my deliverer
When the storms of life set in
You are greater than any tempest
Your mercy saves me from my sin
