The sun is sitting behind the mountains
Just like your love that faded from me
It could never work out anyway
Our love was like a ship that was tossed at sea
Two cultures separated by space and time
No matter how hard we try it just won’t work
We tried to be kind to one another
But we both ended up our hearts were hurt
So Baby, I won’t see you again tomorrow
I won’t see you again for the rest of my life
Let’s just cut our losses and go our separate ways
Even though the pain will cut like a knife
I’ll go back and make my living on the farm
If what they say is true the pain will heal
You’ll go on living in that big ol’ city
We’ll both struggle with a pain that is very real
Honey I hope you’ll think of me often
And I hope all the thoughts you have are good
My mind will never be free of thoughts of you
Please say a prayer sometime for me if you would
