JUMBO is the biggest guitar we have in our ROZAWOOD production line. We have been searching for a jumbo kind guitar for a long time but finally we decided to develop absolutely new shape for the Jumbo guitar you can even find. This guitar was specially designed for great robust sound with as colourful tone as possible. That's why we developed not only a shape, but also changed the bracing system of the soundboard, that is formed with a plenty of braces in something like spider net with the center of it under the bridge. This system brings not only enough bass response but also good mid-range trebles clarity to the tone of this guitar that, we believe, will be great performance instrument.
What I Think About My Rozawood Guitar:
After reading an article about Roman Zajicek and his guitars, I fell in love with the look of his Jumbo guitar. No other luthier that I know makes a jumbo with the same lines. After finally deciding that I wanted the guitar, I had planned on flying to Prague in the Czech Republic and and pick the guitar up. Then I was going to play my way across Europe and finally back to the States. Well, long story short, I fell in love and backed off on the trip to Europe. After a few emails back and forth to the Rozawood shop, I wired the money for the guitar and almost a month to the day, I had the guitar, just in time for Christmas. The guitar was absolutley beautiful. I was a little disappointed though that the lacquer finish was checked very badly. The checking really doesn't cause any problems and actually can give a guitar some character.
The greatest joy was when I played the guitar. I had been looking at a Martin D-45 as an investment when I ran across the Rozawood Jumbo. The D-45 is Martin's top of the line guitar. I was pleasantly surprised when I heard the sound of the Rozawood. It sounds even better than the D 45 or any other Martin guitar I have ever played. I have played Taylor guitars too and they have a beautiful sound but the Rozawood sounds better to me even than them.
The pearl inlay on the Rozawood is artwork in itself. Overall, this is an incredible guitar that sounds as good or better than any other guitar I have ever played.
