In 2018, I began teaching a series on the different gifts that are a part of the New Covenant. Those gits are:
The Ministry (or Ascension) Gifts (Eph. 4)
The Motivational Gifts (Rom. 12) and
The Spiritual Gifts (1 Cor. 12)
I was able to get through the Ministry Gifts and the Moticational Gifts by the end of 2018 but with the holidays approaching, I decided to wait until 2019 to start teaching on the Spiritual Gifts.
There are nine spiritual gifts listed in 1 Corinthians chapter 12. Those can be broken down into three cateogories of three each. By doing this, we see and understand how they work together and it will help us remember them.
I truly believe we are living in the "last days." That doesn't mean the world will come to an end. It means that this age will end, the "Church Age." At any time, the rapture could happen.
Many of you have read books or seen movies like "Left Behind" and you have been told that all the Christians on earth will suddenly disappear and chaos will ensue. I don't believe it is going to happen quite like that because God is NOT the author of confusion and the Bible never says that we will be taken in a momen, in the twinkling of an eye. They Bible says we will be CHANGED in a momen, in the twinkling of an eye. Read it closely and don't always fall for what you heard when it doesn't line up with the Word of God!
In this lesson, a part of my "Doctrines of Christ" series, I share what the Bible says about the rapture. I talk about why some Christians don't believe their wil be a rapture and why I believe their will be. I also give what I believe to be revelation from God about how I believe the rapture will occur.
The Lord has been dealing with me and leading me to talk to my Christian brothers and sisters about this topic. Baptism in the Holy Spirit changed my life when it happened to me. I was eighteen years old and, at the time of this writing, that was thirty-seven years ago!
I believe in what is referred to as the "pre-tribulation" rapture of the Church. The rapture is an event where Jesus will come back to take all true believers off of this earth. At that very time, the Anti-Christ will step into power and broker a seven year peace deal with Israel and her enemies. Most Jews do not believe Jesus is the Messiah but during this seven years, they will come to know Jesus as their savior and God will begin, once again to deal with Israel as His chosen people. The Church will be in heaven with the Lord having a great feast and receiving crowns for the things we have done for the Lord. The Great Tribulation, the last three and one half years will be a terrible time on the earth such as men have never seen. Great Tribulation is actually translated as "Jacob's Trouble." Jacob is Israel. God changed his name as we see in the Old Testament. The Bible also tells us that the Church is NOT appointed unto wrath.
While I believe the Church will be taken off of this earth before all the really bad stuff starts, we will still see continued persecution of the church. The Lord has been showing me that persecution is going to get worse, even in the United States before Jesus raptures us! The world is changing exponentially! Sin is getting worse and worse but with that God's glory will increase also. Jesus told the disciples to WAIT before beginning the Great Commission until the Comforter (the Holy Spirit) was sent. Then Jesus ascended to Heaven and a few days later, He poured out the Holy Spirit on the 120 believers in the upper room of the temple, baptizing them in the Holy Spirit. This same baptism is for EVERY believer in Christ until He returns! If you have not experienced this blessing, let me encourage you to seek God. Ask Jesus to baptize you in the Holy Spirit and then accept it by faith. Please, if you have not experienced this blessing, forget all you have ever heard about it and read the articles below. Don't let Satan decieve you and make you think this is not for today or it is not important to your Christian walk!
